XRCMI is a multi-modality medical imaging
center; in other words, we perform a number of different kinds
of imaging procedures on a variety of imaging equipment. For
example, the preparation and procedure for a CT scan or an
ultrasound study may be quite different than that for a routine
chest x-ray or a mammogram.
Because there are so many varied procedures and preparation
instructions, some of which can be complex, we want you and
your patients to be as knowledgeable as possible on what to
expect. In this section we provide general information about
each modality at XRCMI. Simply click on the button displayed
on this page that defines the kind of test(s) that you are
interested in. For detailed preparation instructions, click

Instructions". For patients who require detailed preparation
instructions, an XRCMI staff member will telephone them in
the days preceding their study to confirm those instructions.
