Peter D. Miller, M.D., Joins X-Ray Consultants Radiology Practice

Miller brings subspecialty expertise in vascular and interventional radiology

MISHAWAKA, Ind., October 4, 2016 – X-Ray Consultants (XRC) announced today that Peter D. Miller, M.D., has joined its team of subspecialty radiologists. Miller, a South Bend native and Notre Dame and Indiana University School of Medicine graduate, brings subspecialty expertise in vascular and interventional radiology to the regional radiology group.

“Dr. Miller’s strong background in interventional radiology and enthusiasm for quality patient care makes him a great addition to our group,” said X-Ray Consultants President Edward L. Yang, M.D. “He strengthens our team of interventional radiologists capable of performing the most advanced treatments in high-quality healthcare settings.”

Dr. Miller graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2004 and earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2008. He conducted a transitional year internship at the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center. After completing a residency in diagnostic radiology from the Indiana University School of Medicine, he earned his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology from the same institution.

He has co-authored several articles published in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to two radiology textbook chapters and presented at medical conferences. During his Indiana University residency, Dr. Miller co-authored a study showing most patients don’t understand what a radiologist does and many don’t even realize that radiologists are medical doctors. However, Dr. Miller believes patients are genuinely interested in knowing more about the role that radiology plays in their healthcare.

Dr. Miller is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and has a Certificate of Additional Qualification in vascular and interventional radiology. As a vascular and interventional radiologist, Dr. Miller has special interests in minimally invasive therapies for liver cancer and renal cancer, management and treatment of venous disorders and peripheral arterial disease, and treatment of uterine fibroids. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Interventional Radiology.
