Consultants provides imaging interpretations and interventions
at a number of locations throughout Michiana. Among the area
hospitals we serve are:

- South Bend Campus
We also provide imaging
interpretations for several private practice physician offices
in the area.
In 1979 we opened
our first outpatient imaging facility in the lower level of
Pavilion 1 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center - South Bend
Campus, where it still resides. This location's primary mission
is to serve the many physician practices that are located
in and around the Medical Center's pavilions. Its scope is
limited to routine radiography.
In Spring of 2002,
X-Ray Consultants opened Michiana's first multi-modality imaging
center outside of an acute care hospital campus. The name
of this facility is XRC Medical Imaging and it features state-of-the-art
CT scanning, ultrasound, mammography and bone densitometry,
as well as general radiography and fluoroscopy. The Center
has been designed to provide ease-of-access, comfort and privacy
in an attractive setting. It also incorporates a Picture Archival
Communications System (PACS) to facilitate "electronic
imaging" rather than conventional x-ray film. PACS enables
us to read your studies quicker, more efficiently and to send
your images and reports directly to your physician's computer
via a secure Internet connection.
