Dr. Edward Yang has been with X-Ray Consultants since July of 2000. He joined
our group immediately after finishing a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging
at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Dr. Yang was born in Taiwan and immigrated with his family to the United States
when he was 9 years old. He received his undergraduate degree from the University
of Houston and went to medical school at the University of Texas – Houston.
He did his radiology residency at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation and
Clinics in New Orleans. Upon completion of his residency, he served 4 years
as a radiologist in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Yang is kept extremely busy with his many varied responsibilities. In
addition the being a staff radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal imaging,
he is also the Medical Director of MRI Centers of Northern Indiana and will
soon assume the chairmanship of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – Mishawaka.
He also is XRC’s lead person in recruiting other outstanding radiologists
to join our group. This hectic schedule does not prevent Dr. Yang from being
accessible to all however, and he always makes it a point to know and socialize
with all staff members at our various locations. His easy-going personality
and genuine interest in others make him a favorite of all who know him.
A family man, Dr. Yang spends most of his leisure time with his wife Celia
and sons, Phillip and Jonathan. Together, they enjoy traveling, the theater
and tennis. Celia, a native of Brazil, is a licensed pharmacist, who just like
Dr. Yang, is a very “people person”, who is always upbeat and caring
for others.
